Waterslide

Centenary Camp goes with a BANG!

Summer finally arrived to find all the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers from Biggleswade Scout Group enjoying a weekend of Fun and Adventure at Wymondley Wood near Letchworth.

Highlights of the weekend included the Water Slide and the Fireworks display.

Cubs, Scouts and Explorers camped from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon with the Beavers joining them for a 24 hour sleepover from 9:30am on Saturday morning.

Saturday morning found the young people experiencing traditional scouting activities, pioneering, orienteering, signaling and cooking.  Saturday afternoon 5 mixed age teams competed in the Camp “It’s a knockout” where events included a Bouncy Castle Marathon, Human Skittles and Grass Skiing.  At the end of a long and very enjoyable afternoon Stratton team were victorious.  The evening started with a Campfire and finished with a spectacular firework display.

Everyone had a fantastic time and I am sure that both the young people and the adults slept well on Sunday night.
